- Host Listings (if applicable): Descriptions, pricing, calendar availability, house rules, amenities, and media content.
- Payment & Payout Information: Billing information, payment history, wallet transactions, payout details, and other financial data necessary to process payments.
- Verification & Identity Documents: Identity verification, government-issued ID, business licenses, or other documents submitted for verification purposes.
Automatically Collected Data:- Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, platform activity, login times, page interactions, and feature usage.
- Location Information: GPS or approximate location, subject to your device permissions.
- Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, fraud prevention, platform personalization, and legal compliance.
Third-Party Data:We may collect information from third parties, including:
- Payment & Verification Providers: For identity verification, fraud prevention, or financial transactions.

- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, Platform updates, or optional promotional messages (with opt-out options where allowed).
- Detect, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, policy violations, or illegal activity.
- Comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests by authorities.
We process only the minimum necessary data for these purposes and retain it only as long as required.
3. Sharing Your Information:
We share your information only when necessary to provide services or comply with law:- With Hosts or Guests: Limited booking-related data to facilitate reservations, communication, and service delivery. Sensitive financial data is never shared.
- Payment Processors & Wallet Providers: To complete transactions securely and process payouts.
- Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure, analytics, customer support, legal, and other operational services.
- Legal Authorities: When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety of the community.
- Business Transactions: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or sales of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.
No Selling of Personal Data: HighTribe does not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. Your Privacy Rights & Controls:
You have rights to manage and control your information:- Access & Correction: View, correct, or update your personal data in account settings.

- Embedded content (e.g., videos, social media feeds) behaves as if you interacted directly with the third-party site.
- Review third-party policies before use; HighTribe is not liable for their practices.
10. AI-Powered Features and Data Use
Personalized Suggestions:HighTribe may provide AI and machine learning–powered recommendations, including itinerary suggestions, location-based suggestions, and personalized content feeds. To generate these, the Platform may process:- Your search behavior, platform activity, and past interactions (e.g., viewed places, saved trips);
- Footprints, posts, or content engagement;
- Booking history, preferences, and selections;
- Location data, if you have permitted access.
These AI-generated suggestions are informational only. HighTribe does not verify accuracy, suitability, or safety of recommendations. You are solely responsible for evaluating and acting on them.
Training and Automation:- HighTribe may use anonymized or pseudonymized platform data (such as click patterns, travel summaries, and aggregated activity) to train AI models and improve algorithms. Personally identifiable content (e.g., photos, messages, names) will not be used for AI training without your explicit consent.
No Automated Decision-Making:- HighTribe does not use automated decision-making processes that legally or materially affect you (such as denying platform access or adjusting pricing) without human oversight.
11. Biometric and Sensitive Information Policy:
Sensitive Categories:HighTribe does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, including:- Biometric identifiers;
- Government-issued IDs (except when voluntarily submitted for hosting verification);
- Racial/ethnic origin, health data, political or religious beliefs; unless required for identity verification, regulatory compliance, or voluntarily shared in public content (e.g., posts, captions, reviews).
Identity Verification:Documents submitted for identity verification (such as IDs or licenses) are stored securely, shared only with trusted verification providers, and deleted promptly after verification, except where law mandates retention.

13. Wallet, Payments & Financial Privacy:
Financial Data:All payment processing is conducted via trusted third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). HighTribe does not store full credit card or bank account information on its servers.
Wallet Transaction Logs:For transparency, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution, HighTribe may retain records of wallet transactions, including:- Payment and payout amounts;
- Date, time, and IP of transaction;
- Associated Guest or Host account;
- Booking references.
Tax Reporting:HighTribe may be required to collect and report Host payout information to tax authorities (e.g., IRS in the U.S.). Hosts may be asked to submit tax documents (e.g., W-9, TIN) to comply with applicable laws.
14. Community Safety & Abuse Reporting:
Reporting Features:- Users may report content, misconduct, or safety concerns via in-app tools or by emailing support@hightribe.com. Reports may include associated metadata (timestamps, user IDs, or content references). HighTribe may temporarily restrict or freeze content during investigation.
Law Enforcement Cooperation:- HighTribe cooperates with law enforcement or legal authorities as required by U.S. and California law. Disclosure of user data occurs only with valid legal process or in emergencies involving imminent threats to safety.
15. Data Subject Rights (CCPA, GDPR, and Global):
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:- Right to Know: Access information about data collected and its purposes.

Public vs. Private Content:Your activity on HighTribe may include public or semi-public contributions, such as Footprints, travel advisories, reviews, or shared itineraries. Unless you explicitly mark content as private:- Your content may be visible to other users and visitors of the Platform;
- It may be indexed by search engines or used in promotional materials or showcases;
- Other users may interact with your content via comments, likes, or follows.
Follower Relationships & Social Interactions:- By accepting a follow request, you grant the requesting user access to your shared content, trip plans, and other visible activities in accordance with your privacy settings. You may revoke such access at any time by unfollowing or adjusting visibility controls.
17. Host Identity Verification & Trust Programs:
Host Identity Collection:To enhance trust and safety, Hosts may be required to verify their identity using:- Government-issued identification;
- Live photo capture or biometric verification (e.g., facial recognition where legally permitted);
- Business licenses, tax documents, or utility bills for property or service validation.
Data Retention and Usage:- Verification information is securely stored, shared only with trusted verification vendors, and retained solely for fraud prevention, safety, or legal compliance purposes. Requests for deletion may be made after verification is complete, except where retention is required by law.
18. Platform Communications & Notifications:
Transactional Messages:HighTribe sends essential service-related messages, including:- Booking confirmations, updates, and status notifications;
- Wallet activity (e.g., payouts, refunds);
- Account alerts, security warnings, and safety notifications.
These communications are mandatory for platform use and cannot be opted out of.
Marketing Communications:Optional newsletters, product updates, or promotional messages may be sent if you have provided consent. You may opt out at any time via email preferences or the unsubscribe link in communications.
In-App & Push Notifications:With your consent, HighTribe may deliver real-time alerts, reminders, or trip planning updates via mobile push notifications or browser alerts. These can be controlled through your device or app settings.
19. Data Residency & International Compliance:
Data Storage Locations:HighTribe may store and process your information in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.
Legal Frameworks:
We implement safeguards to protect your data globally, including:- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers from the EU;

- UK GDPR and Japan APPI as applicable.

20. Platform Security Features & User Responsibilities:
HighTribe Security Measures:We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:- SSL/TLS encryption for all platform communications;
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) support;
- Role-based access control for internal systems;
- Intrusion detection, fraud monitoring, and regular security audits.
To help maintain account security, you should:- Use strong, unique passwords;
- Never share login credentials;
- Log out from shared or public devices;
- Report suspicious activity immediately to support@hightribe.com
21. Third-Party Links, Embeds & Integrations:
External Links:The Platform may link to third-party websites (e.g., maps, tourism information). HighTribe is not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before interacting.
Embedded Content:Third-party media (e.g., YouTube videos, Instagram posts) may be embedded in listings or trip plans. Interacting with embedded content is subject to the respective third party’s policies.
Third-Party Login & Social Sharing:If you log in via third-party services (e.g., Google, Apple) or share content externally, some personal data may be exchanged with or accessible to those platforms, in accordance with your consent and their privacy policies.
22. Community Data Use & Platform Research:
Platform Insights:HighTribe may analyze aggregated, de-identified data (e.g., booking trends, popular destinations, review statistics) to:- Improve platform features and user experience;
- Inform product strategy and development;
- Publish anonymized community reports or case studies.
This data does not personally identify individual users and is used strictly for platform-wide insights.
23. User Research & Feedback:
Participation in surveys, interviews, or product testing is voluntary. Collected data may include responses, recordings, or usage patterns and will be used to improve user experience. Participation (or non-participation) does not affect platform access or user status.
